7900GT Overclocks not staying after reboot

This is getting very annoying, every time I resart my overclocks reset. Sometimes the core clock stays at 530 but, depending on what I'm trying, it might reset too. My memory clocks always go back to default no matter what I try. I've restared at least 20 times in the last two days trying to get this to work. I have "No Overclocking" set in coolbits. I tried with it set ther too. Since my memory is at 860MHz in RiveTuner, so coolbits shows it at that speed but if you move it it goes back to 800MHz. When I have it set to No OC, Coolbits thinks there is no overclock but RivaTuner shows them....they always reset after a reboot though. I did try without coolbits, but RivaTuner enables that tab in the forceware anyway so I don't think it matters. I even tried setting RivaTuner as a startup program which hogs up my limited 1GB ram but that didn't even work so it's disabled again. If anyone knows how to get them to stay, the memory clocks in particular, help. :[

No experience with RIVA... sorry, but in ATITOOL there is an options tab 'STARTUP' where you tell it to kick in @ startup - maybe there is something similar with RIVA?

By the way it seems like you have managed to OC the MEM a lot but not much on the CORE... think you want to try to move the CORE up some more as i imagine you have got pleanty of MEM bandwidth left...

I am running @ 650 / 1700 i.e. much faster CORE but bit less MEM...

lol just realised you have not Volt modded have u? if not that that is wht your core is not higher... i can highly recommend the 1.4V conductive pen mod, very easy and HUGE performance increase!

I know, I'm running a VF700 at only 25% from the GPU fan header for silence, so I'm only doing a 1.3V mod, my mem is at stock volts, but it looks like I got a bad core and amazing memory, lol.

I just need a conductive pen now....

bump....other than going to power strip I really don't see a sloution, is there a way RT can get the OCs to stay?

I use Riva and it keeps my clocks fine.

did you make sure to check the option to apply overclocking options on Windows startup?

I tried with and without, I tried with the alternate startup daemon, and different options in coolbits, if it DOES keep my clocks, the memory still goes back to stock

Try using PowerStrip. That can load every startup and also save and load OC profiles.

But it doesn't have all the features of RivaTuner, there is no good reason it shouldn't work. If I do a clean driver install, how would I get it to work.

ok, I set up an Overclocking Profile, all I have to do is open the RivaTuner and select it..I guess that's ok, but I really wanted it to work on startup
