Im running it at 1366 x 768 on my 32inch tv and was wondering if it was worth the 140$ difference to get the 7900GT KO via the step up program. any advice?

I would wait. At that resolution you shouldn't have any problems with any games.

Don't pull the trigger yet. The 7900GT KO should be fine until summer. Wait until R600 is released then the NV prices will come down a bit.

IMO Since you are stepping up, I'd say go for it. R600 probabily won't be out untill around May, and how much can the 8800GTS's price fall at the time really? I am guessing it will only be somewhere in the range of 40~50$, and you get to use it so many months earlier. But then again that just IMO, who knows what's gonna happen in the future.

Doesn't matter how much the price drops. He is stepping up.. which means MSRP for EVGA which won't change a bit. The only reason to wait is if the 8900s are released in your step up time.

for the image quality, most definately.

for performance? won't be a huge increase, but for $150 it makes sense imo, even if only for the much better image quality.

well if you step up right now you will get the 8800gts 320 for only a little more than what you can buy it at newegg. Or wait and see if the 8900s come out in time and step up to one of those right away. You should see a rather decent performance boost over a 7900gt ko. Plus IQ is much better.
