7900GT issues

Hi all,
I had my 7900GT since it first came out and has served me well. When i bought her, i automatically upgraded the cooling to zalman fatality vga cooler
It ran fine untill last week.
Took off the cooler, cleaned it applied arctic silver.
Checked the drivers, still no go

The problem: The screen goes a funny tint of Blue regardless of what output i connect it to (monitor, projector, tv etc)

Is it time to get a new gpu or can something be done to recover it?

Questions? What type of connection? DVI? D-sub? Are you using the same cable and or adapter? Do you have more than one output on the card and have you tried the other connector?

I don't have answers but I think these are important questions.

The connection is VGA (from screen) to DVI(gpu)
I have used different cables and different adapters.
I have tried the second output and it just freezes when it runs on that output.

Greetings,

Having once owned a 7900GT and had some pretty severe issues with it... I can tell you firsthand that the cards have problems. Here's a thread I made awhile ago where some of the info is talked about:

Can you take a screenshot and post it here? We could confirm whether you're only seeing blue (meaning it's a monitor/cable problem) or it's actually generating bluish tint.

Just my 2 cents, of course.
