Never even said that again reread what i said dont wanna waste money by buying 2 crappy x1800xt's when i can just get 2 7900gt for my 24 inch.

Sorry, it was an exact quote from your post- you did say that. I just left off the unrelated portion of the post.

Your post said nothing about buying 2 video cards. Your post said you don't want to buy an ati card because it's a waste of money, and you wanted to go SLI.

So, $300 ATI card = waste of money, but going SLI... requires TWO $300 video cards + a $160 motherboard isn't a waste of money?

Do you see the contradiction yet?

Nope dont wanna waste money on x1800xt's for crossfire. rather go Sli.

Stupidity ftw.

If you are going to get Crossfire, at least get a 3200 crossfire motherboard. There's a great deal of understandable confusion on the whole SLI vs, Crossfire thing and at this point, they are about neck and neck. With nVidia, you can enable some modes not supported by ATI, but enabling these modes usually comes at a high frames per second hit. So in the end, it depends on what games you play and what you plan for the future, which from a technnology standpoint, is far from certain. I vote for ATI for overall quality at high eye candy settings and crossfire for being more likely to be less buggy in the long run than SLI.

At this point though, an nVidia system is far from the wrong answer!

What's up with the pointless quote? Didn't a bunch of people get banned for that?

Chill out a bit, realize that the 😉 icon means I was just kidding, and realize that for the average gamer an $850 SLI setup is a huge waste of money, compared to buying ANY single card, ati or nvidia. That is what I was pointing out.

No worries but i didnt know 2 7900gt's were 850$ LOL.

id still have to buy 2 x x1800xt's and a crossfire board. Since i already have a SLI board it makes it even better.

Pointless Quote? you made postless posts in my thread. Nuff said.

Oh yeah and its a dell 2405 lcd so sli would do very well for me and be worth every penny thank you come again!

$680 for two geforce 7900 gt cards, $160 for an sli board. I suppose you can find it cheaper if you shop around, just based it off of the prices at newegg.
