I have a SLI board and I need just a bit more juice to play my games

setup
460W ENERMAX EG465P
7900gs
gigabyte m57SLI
A64 x2 5000+ AM2
1Gx2 6400cl5d

So, get a 2nd 7900GS?

1. Try to get a cheap 7900gs off auction
2. Radeon 4670?

Depends on how much you find one for. There are other options. A single newer series card could be one of them.
Budget?

You've got a decent setup other than the GPU. But two 7900GS cards aren't even going to be as good as a single 9800GT ($105AR). With an upgraded GPU you'll be able to play pretty much anything at moderate resolutions (up to 16x12).

I have the 5000 OC'd as well, it was the black edition.

I would like to stay under $100.00, but I could spend a bit more if it was really worth it ($150 MAX). I guess I'm kind of wish-washy on the whole thing because for the most part I can play games like Call of Duty 4 fine but games like The Witcher and Bioshock run really bad.

resolution is 1680 x 1050 MAX

You can find a 9800GT for around $100, after rebates. That would be your best bet, followed by the 9600GT and HD3870.

Or try and grab a 9600GSO very cheap. They are somewhere around $50AR right now and have been down to $37AR.

They are only a few percent behind the 9600GT/8800GT and cost much less.

Mine beats my friend's SLIed 7800GTXs.

Meh, I'm a little skeptical about the 384MB of memory on those cards.
I see they have a few versions of it though.

9600GSO:
128 bit 512MB 96shaders $80.00. $50.00 after rebate
192 bit 384 MB 96shaders $85.00. $55.00 after rebate
192 bit 768 MB 96shaders $110.00. $75.00 after rebate

Personally, I would go with the 192 bit 768MB 96 shaders(in bold) out of these three. Extra memory may be worth the 25bux.

Then there is one tier higher, the 9800GT with .
9800GT:
256 bit 512MB 112 shaders $130.00 $110.00 after rebate. Free Call of Duty 4

256 bit 1024MB 112 shaders $150.00 no rebate offered. Free Frontlines:Fuel of War

Out of these two, I would go with the 256 bit 512MB 112 shaders (in bold) out of these two).
All of these I found at Newegg by the way.
