7900 Anadtech benches -- When?

As for the performance compairisons: to me, it's nice to see nVidia regain it's foothold in the market by offering good performance for a reasonable price as opposed to the painstaking loss of the GTX512. Hopefully avalibility doesn't flop either.

I still think I'm going to wait for the G80 before I would even consider upgrading.

according to the firing squad charts it seems like the 7900GT and x1800xt are pretty even, with a slight edge to the x1800xt when AA is on. Anand doesn't have a direct comparison to with the 7900gt and x1800xt, but the x1800xt slightly outperforms the 7800gtx- which is exactly how they describe the 7900gt.

i'm still thinking about what to do since it might be possible to turn a small profit on the x1800xt on ebay, while waiting for a deal on the 7900gt....

It still looks like ATI offers the best single card performance, although they are a bit more expensive. I'm sure ATI will respond with a price drop.

Also with cards like the XFX and EVGA hitting nearly 700MHz (retail) with the core and 1700-1750 memory (retail), will the XTX still come out superior. I am not to sure.
