$79 Laptop Hard drive 500GB

I now cannot find a 500GB drive for $79.

They all start at $129

Is there another place that you have had good luck with? a year later the prices should be LOWER.

They would be lower if it were not for the major flood that crippled all HD plants...try again in 6-8 months before prices can get back to normal.

Can't believe hard drive price jumped so much.

Just last month I bought Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB 7200 RPM at $59 a pop, luckily I bought 2.

Now the price is more than doubles after Thailand flooding!

Just about a month ago (right before the flood price-cliffing), a 500GB Samsung M8 (single platter--the good stuff) was shell-shocked for $45. So yea, prices had gone down considerably...
