Just got done downloading 3dMark 2001 and boy did I do bad. This is with an XP 1700+ and a Nvidia Riva. Check signature for other specs. Can't wait until I get my GeForce 4 Ti-4200 in April. It'll be sweet.

That's the lowest score I've seen yet.

What Riva is it? Nvidia had several cards called Riva, just like the GeForces now. I remember Riva128 (several versions I think), RivaTNT (had one of those) and Riva TNT2 family (were several versions like GeForce 2, had a normal TNT2). Yeah, since the TNT I've had a card from each generation of nVidia's chips, scary isn't it?

I was on a budget when I built my computer. Spent 450 on it and I still owe my dad like 200. My original card was a Matrox MGA, boy that sucked, only 17 FP/S on UT with high settings and 800x 600. Now i get like 30. I took the Nvidia from our main "family computer" which is 4 years old. My dad won't find out. ;)

Save up 40 or 50 bucks and buy a GF2 on E-bay or something. The difference will be amazing.

You sure didnt spend your money very well... You should have dropped to a 1500+ or 1600+ and gotten a GeForce 2 MX.

woah. that's low.. i couldnt wait for a GF4, let alone afford one, so when i built my rig listed below, i just got myself a nice Gainward GF3 Ti200 GS running at 240/500 easily. will probably try to up it more, but on my XP 1700+ @ 1.594Ghz (11x145fsb), im getting 8441 on 3dmark2001 SE.

even my duron 800/leadtek geforce256 ddr gets 2200 on 3dmark2001.

no place to go but up.. that gf4 will definately help those scores you have. :)

<< ^^ What kind of cooling do you have for your computer? >>

antec sx1030 case
4 panaflo L1A (2 intake, 2 exhaust)
Alpha PAL8045 w/ sunon 80mm fan (39cfm/32dba)
thermaltake ddr heatspreaders

seems to be running fine at default voltage.. i actually just bumped it up to 145fsb so i dont know how stable it is yet.. other than running 3dmark2001se, i've only been browsing the web with it.

dakata24, how did you get that score? I'm running my 1600+ @ 1607Mhz (10.5x153) and my Palit Daytona GF3 Ti200 @ 220/515 and I only get 7775 in 2001SE. What Detonators do you use? I use 27.20, that might be the reason.
