Actually turning the shaders to low doesn't look bad at all.
I also have the natural lighting mod installed.

When I turned the shaders on low the game looked even worse then Farcry. Maybe that mod you use makes some difference.

It plays smoothly for me on all high settings. This is also why I'm running two evga 8800gts 512's in sli.![]()
It doesn't have a fluent frame rate on highest settings?

Only high shaders have HDR rendering and only high post processing has Edge AA both which drastically change the appearance of the game.
Anyways, Crysis is a pretty fun shooter, with out without the fancy graphics.

I have played it and it's pretty fun as well, but CoD4 being better than Crysis doesn't really speak of Crysis' being bad but rather it says a lot about the quality of CoD4.
Crysis is more geared towards singleplayer, the single player campaign can be played over and over and it doesn't feel as repetitive, also there is a better mod community out there for Crysis.
CoD4 has an intense single player which is loads of fun as well but it's too short, the game really shines in multiplayer.
So yeah for a person without an online gaming capable internet connection I would recommend Crysis a thousand times more than CoD4, once you factor in online multiplayer though... it's a though choice.

With 8800 GT SLI, the game was 'playable' @1280x768 with Very High (DX10) setting default. It might actually get 'enjoyable' if all available tweaks are applied.Originally posted by: error8
