well the X1800XT is a better card then the GTX (unless noise is an issue) but slightly more expensive

EDIT: the X1800XL is a slower card then the GTX but the x1800xl has HDR+AA, AVIVO, and angle independant AF but the GTX is probably a better card to get but I think it is a fair bit more expensive.

The 7800GTX is much faster than the x1800xl. The x1800xt is the one that competes with the 7800GTX. Mine is for sale
