Because there are not enough 7800GTX 512MB card threads, I decided to make one. This thread is not aruge as to how it compares with the x1800xt. Simply post links to various online shops that price this card at or close to MSRP and have it IN STOCK. Hopefully this will helpout a lot of potential buyers and our business will be directed at a fair retailer willing to sell for MSRP.

The MSI NX7800GTX-VT2D512E is in stock $648 in stock - CLICK HERE

Price is only high right now since its very new and only just shipping direct from the manufacturers leaving only those compaines who are truely direct with stock to sell/ship from right now.

The 512MB GTX carries a $599 to $699 MSRP depending on which card you get...

the nvidia MSRP is only $599, but the demad for it is so great right now that they can gouge. But, as with the 7800gtx 256, it will drop a good $50 or more in the upcoming weeks

They never raised it. It's always been 649. Even the rumors before it came out said that the msrp of the 512 would be 649.

correct it has always been $650, its gonna be at least a month (if ever) before the price is down to ~600 (what im wiling to pay). there is no way i would get that msi, even if i was willing to pay over msrp, it has no lifetime warranty.

Thanks for the link!
I assume the MSI is reference speeds??? I couldn't find any info on it, even at the MSI site. Does MSI have a good reputation on video cards?

If you scroll down the page a bit, it has the clock speeds. (The MSI has stock speeds.)
