I read in the release highlights published in nVidia's website that the newest revision of the ForceWare drivers enables cards of the same type but different manufactured to be used in SLI. The website also indicates that cards with different clock speeds and memory size can also be use in SLI:

I recently bought an XFX 7800GTX 512 video card and wanted to try it in SLI with my old EVGA 7800 GTX 256, but when I try to configure it, I get a message saying:
"You must remove any graphics cards that are not compatible with NVIDIA Scalable Link Interface (SLI) technology before you can enable SLI."
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Carlos
