Well, im from Chile and in Christmas I bought a eVGA n516 7800gt in the USA.

Cuase the great performance and low prices of the 7900gt, the 7800 gt is going to fall downstairs. So I was thinking in selling the 78000gt and getting an 7900gt (the BFX ultraoverlcked!!!)
Or maybe one x1800xt

1º whats are the main differences between the 7900gt and x1800xt?

2ºand is a good Idea what im planning to do?

3ºOr should I stay with my system?

4º whats going to happen with the 7800gt prices? xd

Thanks

if you purchased your video card within the last 90 days from evga i believe you can use their step up program...which credits you however much you spent on your card toward the purchase of a new one.

for example...

i bought a 7800gt overclocked edition for 350$ 7 days ago...

i registered to use their step up program..and they are letting me step up to a 7900gt overclocked edition (that is valued at 350$)
for free.

i pay 10$ shipping and get a new awesome card for free.
it only works if your purchase is 90 days old or less!
so lets say you purchased your card on december 25th .. you can step up to the 7900gt for free for another couple days only!

goodluck

edit: this is why Im EVGA for life.

Then again.. if it had been day 91 of your purchase you'd have a different opinion of EVGA! :p

up to you...the performance difference is not going to be worth the hastle right now in my opinion. what game do you have trouble playing using a 7800gt...that you wouldnt have the same trouble playing using an x1800xt? and is it really worth it?
