Why is the price not coming down. Who is buying this card at this price? C'mon people let's get this card down to 250.00, hell 7800gt's are 250.00 now at Monarch. Was this just a ploy from Nvidia to get us to switch to pci-e?

Exactly, the 7800GS should be about $250. If they didnt cripple it then maybe it would validate the cost. $300 is pure horseshit and they have really ****** over AGP users. I p4 3.0 based system w/ 1gig of ram is still a decent gaming rig matched with a good GPU. Giving the dying AGP segment a little bang for their buck wouldnt hurt sales of Nvidia's PCIe cards. They blew an opportunity to give their loyal customers a little more value. Way to bend your customers over a barrel Nvidia....

Indeed, Monarch wins with their 7800GS CO deal at only 285 but still its a pricey tag for such a card, considering 7800GTs go for the same and less and they are much better cards.
