ok - here's my problem.

This is my system in a nutshell...

A64 3800+ Venice Core
Asus A8N SLI Premium
1GB Corsair XMS PC3200
2 X 74GB WD Raptors
16X DVD-ROM
16X DVD-RW
Gigabyte 7800 GTX
Antec NeoPower 480W PSU
Lian Li case

Now that it is all together...

Will I notice a performance increase with dual 7800GTs? What kind of PSU would I need?

You will get a performance increase, but unless you run all your games at really high resolutions, i doubt it'd be a sensible upgrade.

What monitor do you have?

I just noticed you have only 1 GB of RAM...newer games would certainly be better with another GB :)

500+ watts with a minimum 34amps on the 12v rail for starters. If you are gaming at less than 1600 X 1200 then it is by and large a waste of money to do SLI. You would be better off getting one 7800GTX or ATI X1800XT.

i upgraded from a gtx 2 weeks ago

especially in cod 2 and fear
other games i play have a lot more solid fps than gtx

The GTs will be much faster, but as others have remarked you'll need a high resolution monitor to take full advantage of them in most games. FEAR and COD2 would see big increases even at lower resolutions though.

That's not needed if you have an otherwise high quality unit. My power supply has 28A and it runs two GTs with no problems.
