Since BFG overclocks their cards, I'd be skeptical of a 3D Fuzion card's headroom if they're a branch of BFG.

Can you mix-n-match different manufacturers 7800GTXs?

I have a Leadtek 7800GTX right now. Will it play nice (meaning SLI) with this 3D Fuzion GTX?

The SLI-FAQ on NVidia's website says yes.

I see this in the SLI FAQ:

"Can I mix and match graphics cards?
While current NVIDIA drivers do not support two different brands of graphics cards in SLI Mode, this feature will be supported in an upcoming driver release. At that time, customers will only be required to match the GPU model type. This means you will be able to run a GeForce 6800 Ultra from graphics card manufacturer ABC in SLI mode with a GeForce 6800 Ultra from graphics card manufacturer XYZ. "

Looks like you'll be able to do it in the future sometime... not yet though. Unless I missed something on the website of course! :)

That would be nice if they release that driver. I have an evga, but see other brands are at least $50 cheaper

Wow another 3DFuzion card?

Recently someone posted the 7800GT, which was made by 3DFuzion too. Not sure what's going on with these strange brands.

Anyone own one or consider of buying one, please give feedback.

Thanks.

I'm betting that as soon as ATI releases their new cards prices are going to come crashing down across the board. Pretty good price for now but I'm still waiting a bit.

hmm regardint the SLi config... according to Nvidia's FAQ..

http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvid...faqid=100&p_created=1098288583&p_sid=H*651iRh&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MTYmcF9wcm9kcz0wJnBfY2F0cz0wJnBfcHY9JnBfY3Y9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9YW5zd2Vycy5zZWFyY2hfZm5sJnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9U0xp&p_li=&p_topview=1

It says No.
"NVIDIA does not support SLI on two different models or from different vendors. SLI supports configurations with the same model (i.e. 6800 Ultra) from the same vendor (Vendor XYZ)."

Could be outdated though.

EDIT: Ok scratch that, with the new Force ware 80's mix and match will be possible. But it will sync at the lower denominator.

You can mix and match vendors with the latest (beta) ForceWare drivers. 84.xx and 85.xx both support this IIRC.

EDIT: The latest official ForceWare 80-series drivers support this and are WHQL certified.

It will be really nice if you can mix two different brands. I have evga 7800GT i really loved it, i might buy another evga brand card because they make excellent produts.
