I have a fx-53 being cooled by a 7700. Now according to zalmans website they recommend I use the original screws and gave me a warning about Caps and Backplate usage. Now I am concerned that I shouldn't of kept the original backplate but used Zalmans (I miss read and Kept orginal Metal backplate). My temps are High but not cause for alarm High. High 30's/Low 40's Idle - High 40's/Law 50's Load.
Am I ok? Is there a simple Fix? I have thighted the screws somewhat more. I am pondering adding somemore As5. Thanks for your help.

What was the warning, how much AS5 did you originally use, how are the two backplate different, who's in the what now?

A thin Layer of As5 :) Zalman Back(On the right)
Asus Back
What the problem is I guess the Asus has larger Nipples on the front side.
Zalman recommends you do This
I miss read and left the Asus Backplate. Will this be a problem?
No Warning Just watching my temps. The highest I've seen is a 53.

The system is stable. I have recieved no errors or problems. Just want to keep it that way. What is the danger zone for a fx-53?

I believe your FX-53 is a clawhammer?
I'd say 65-70c load temp is dangerous.. it might coz instability but still far from cauzing damages.
I remember my FX-55 loads @ 71c with Zalman 7700cu and there were prime errors after 9 hours.
