7600GT temps

I'm probably gonna get a 7600GT in a couple of weeks and I was wondering what kind of temps I can expect on the evga 7600GT KO with the stock HS and what I could expect if I would go for a vf900.

also is there a difference betwen the co and the ko besides the heatsink?

I received my 7600GT KO it idles around 55-60 C (depending on the ambient) and loads up to 77-80 C

Then I replaced the stock HSF with the zalman VF900, it idles around 47 and loads up to 60 C. I never seen the load temps going above 60 C 🙂

happy with the purchase. The stock HSF is pure crap imo.

It generally will, yes.

My 7600GT fan is so loud, I can't stand it. So I set fan speeds to 25% - 33%, never have a problem with temperatures going past ~70C if I remember correctly.

I assume that's with RivaTuner - does RivaTuner have to be running to control the fan speeds, or once it's set, it's done "permanent"?
