thats about the same as a 6800ultra, not bad, if the price in nice then this will be a sturdy mid range card.

but im slightly disappointed that its not any faster

I wouldnt say its the same as a 6800Ultra. I'm sure the 6800GS will surge ahead of the 7600GT under higher resolutions and AA.

The 128bit memory might be holding it back.

Unless this card's MSRP is under $150, I don't see the point of it. The 6800GS has nearly the exact same specs and it costs roughly $170 right now...Of course they could be monster overclockers but somehow I doubt it.

I am just wondering how someone in the linked forum managed to get his hands on a non-released product.

Any chance this could be fake?

Also, when is the new 7600 series due for an official release?

Kinda disappointing... Is it just me or do we have a ton of cards out there that will do 5000-6000 3D Mark05's and then very little until you get to 9000-11,000 Mark's(with the $ tag that goes with it). I'm including the 7900GTX and GT in the 9000+ category. I guess there is always the 7800GT...Nvidia must be selling a boatload of those!!
