I have been limping along on my fried GTO2 waiting for the right time to replace/upgrade my video card.

I don't have a lot of money to play with and I'm gaming less and less so all I really need is a good low-mid range card that will last long enough to get me though college. That new 7600Gt is looking REALLY nice, can be had for ~$200 and is only slightly slower than the 7800GT.

But is there something out there that is a better bang for buck? Haven't had much time to bother keeping up with hardware trends so I'm a bit out of the loop.

Then get 7600GT or rob your best friend or the people you don't like and buy a X1800XT for $320 as i think its a better choice than 7900GT :)

But again :!

7600GT = Awesome at $200
X1800GTO = Awesome at $200
7900GT = Awesome at $300 for SLI reason
X1800XT = Triple awesome for a $320ish price ;)

stay with your gto2....no offence but tuteja1986, do you even know how a gto2 performs like? It performs better or equal to a X850XT PE. In other words, the only card where you'll see a little performance boost is a 7800GT and even getting that isn't worth the amount of cash. Just stick with your GTO2 for a while and save for a card AT LEAST a 7800GTX. Your GTO2 would outperform the 7600GT and X1800GTO...
