It should probably be okay. The 7600 GT apparently uses very little power for a video card.

i think it should be okay...the 7600 doesn't even need an external power connector.

Whoa.
Think I would be ok using a 7900GT on a Dell 4700 305W PSU?
3.4 P4. 1 HD, 2 CD drives (could disconnect one and install combo drive)

Sorry for thread-jack

it also only has 17 amps on the 12 volt railings

17A is plenty for a 7600GT.

Im using a 7900gt with a 17a 12v rail, so far so good. But a stronger one is coming soon.

then why do all of the system requirements for 7600 gt say 20a on 12v
if he has problems even two years from now, people better own up to it. i am not forgetting who said it

7600 doesnt need the extra power connector, the PCI-E slot provides all the juice it needs, you should be fine.

i'm using a 350W and i have power issues w/ my 7600 GS. current system:

DVDRW
2 HDD's
Vodoo5 5500 PCI w/ molex connector
7600GS PCI-E X16 no connector.

with the 7600 in, it will not boot properly. take it out or use a larger PSU, it boots fine
