Barry Bonds and Big Mac are in spitting distance . . .

Will Junior play long enough to hit another 300 home runs?

I think jr. could do it, but I would like to see McGwire--he seems to be one of the good guys left in baseball. I watched him in oakland as a rookie with "bash brother" canseco, fun days.

I'd love to see Mark do it as well (more so than Barry Bonds simply because of the chip on his shoulder).

Barring another 70-season or two, it would take him around 4-5 years to do it I think (being conservative.) I hope his body can hold out that long!

I too would like to see Big Mac do it, but honestly, i think he's only got a year or two left... He needs to have 2 complete years and in order to come close, he'll need 90 or so HRs in each season... He's 37 and got serious back ailments, i don't see him playing another 4 or 5 years...

I would kill myself if Bonds did it... he's such an arogant f*ck, i like nothing more than seeing him miss one of his basket catches or hitting what he thinks is a HR, standing there watching it, only to see it hit the wall and take a single...

Griffey could do it, but he'll need to stay healthy and play a while more, What about Sosa? How old is he? If he's got another 5+ years he may do it too.

<< I hope nobody does it, I like Hank better than both of 'em. >>

I'm a long time Braves fan and a big Hank Aaron lover... i think he's probably the most underrated and overlooked player of all time, but records are meant to be broken. It doesn't take away from his achievement, what he did no one was able to do since the days of Ruth. All records will fall over time.

I'm waiting for the next triple crown winner, it's gonna happen soon.
