K i have a new castle core in my cpu and i was wondering how do you tell if you have a 90nm or a 130nm? Cause if i dont have a 90nm then i will be going out to get a new one and will be donating the 130nm to my server!

thanx a bunch!

Yes the new Semprons are

2600+
2800+
3000+
NOT the older 3100+.

And I think only the 2800+ has 256k cache the others all have 128k (excluding the older 3100+)

k so which socket 754 do i need to get to have a 90 nm or can i even get it yet and not a sempron just a amd 64 if possible!

I just replaced my Clawhammer with a NC 3400+, and it's running at 2580 with default voltage and retail cooler. I haven't tried to go any higher, because it's idling at 41* and I know my motherboard is stable at its present 215 HTT. I paid $209 for mine a few days ago. Its default speed is 2.4 GHz (12*200).

There is no A64 with .09 out yet for socket 754. only semprons for now.

The mobile athlon 64 winchester socket 754 is out at one vender on pricewatch. I called and emailed a few times. They had advertised one of the cpus as a 256k mobile athlon 64. After checking their cpu, they realized it was a 512 .09 core instead of a sempron, which I didn't want.

The 2.4 Ghz NC is a peech. Same speed as the 4000+. only missing 512k cache and a memory controller.
