$75 Off Dell Inspiron or Dimension @ Dell Outlet

Dell refurbs can be a hot deal. I got an Inspiron lappie about 3 years ago and saved a bundle over new. But with all of the GREAT deals out there on the Small Business side, you'd really have to crunch the numbers to see which is better.

FWIW, my lappie looked like it had never been used.

Dell refurbs are a great deal. When I bought my Dell Dimension 8100 two years ago, I saved over $300 by buying from Dell Outlet. When I was ordering my system over the phone, the guy said that a good portion of the systems are just cancelled orders.

Can't argue with the Dimension 4550 P4 2Ghz I got the other day for $312 shipped from the refurb side.
Or the 2350 Celeron 1.8Ghz for $191 shipped.

Their deals are based on whatever they have in stock and changes throughout the day. I just picked up a 2GHz celeron, 256ddr 266, 48/24/48 cdrw, 30gb 7200rpm drive for $339 after discounts and free shipping. It's a box for the family (= internet/email and word processing). And yes, a lot of the deals are just ppl who cancelled orders.

I hesitiated and missed out on the Dell 4550, 2.53Mh, 256MB, 60GB, CD/RW, DVD, 128MB ATI9700 tx Video with all the Coupons, Discounts and MIR around $700.

Went to the outlet side and found the same system (Most likely one that one of you ordered and then canceled) and picked it up for $650 with free shipping!

Life is Good!

The refurbs can be a really good deal and no sales tax like Dell Small Business, and in addition the small business coupons end tonight...

I scored a Dell Inspiron 1100 lappy w/ 2.0GHZ celeron, 14.1, 256mb, 20GB 5400rpm drive, etc. for $588 shipped. Not bad. I wish it had a DVD drive, but the price was right. I keep checking periodically for more deals.

The price break down: $618 - $75 coupon + $45 shipping = $588.

Dell refurbs are an excellent deal. However you need to play the waiting game and keep refreshing periodically. I had a couple of systems stolen from my basket 🙂 before i landed a 2350 Desktop 2.2ghz cel, 40gig, 48X cdrw 256 Megs + Hk205 Spkrs for $226 shipped a couple of months ago. I later (based on external female influences ) had to sell it off and made a little profit on the side. I just got another laptop today for a relative for $713 shipped. Cel 2.0, 256 Megs, 30gig dvd/cd-rw + carrying case.
Well good luck for those who are still looking around for a system. Just remember !!! The refresh button is your friend.

cant believe u bumped this 3 month old thread just to tell us that.

anyway, i scored the same setup you have except with 128MB of ram for $513.

Just picked up an Inspiron 1100 2.0 Celeron, 256, DVD and 15"screen for $638 after coupons. It's a refurb, but looks and smells brand new. Must use a new-laptop-smell-in-a-can. Nice lil laptop:beer:

Man, I didn't realize that this thread was that old! Anyway, they are offering free shipping now and extended the coupons ($50 off Dimension and $75 off Inpsiron) I called them up and told them about the free shipping and they credited my account $45! Came to $543.

Thanks for the reply of the Old-A$$ post.
I bought the refurbed inspiron lappy before they had free shipping.
Called them up and paired it with the 75 off coupon...but only the free shipping works.
csr says the coupon's gotta be placed during the time I order only, oh well $45 shipping is a lot.

Thanks guys!!
