I changed the title and I'm giving this a bump because I think the old title looked like another "We will pay you to switch" deal.

Be careful...you are swearing under pains and penalties of perjury...

"** CERTIFICATION **
Do you declare, under penalty of perjury, that (a) you were an MCI subscriber at some time during the period from February 5, 1996 to October 15, 2000; (b) you believe in good faith that you paid MCI's Non-Subscriber Rates And Surcharges during that period; (c) these rates and surcharges were not the result of your making Dial-Around calls on MCI's network; and (d) you have not already received credits from MCI or your local telephone company for the Non-Subscriber Rates And Surcharges."

Thanks PopUp
I hate MCI with a passion. They are a bunch of crooks and their operators are really rude. I spent months disputing charges that I never made. I will never use them ever again. I hope they burn in hell!!

What if I don't remember whether I used it during the period? Is there a way to look up the records?

Check back on your phone bill.
Their database isn't very comprehensive. I had used MCI for sure during those periods, but it was not listed.

One of my numbers was listed in the database, however my other one was not. All you have to do is submit a hand written form for any number not already in their database, to be eligible. I am filing claims for 2 numbers. I know for a fact that on one number, I made a TON of long distance calls, for close to 3 years. My bills probably totalled $3000-4000 during this time frame. I can't wait to see how much they owe me.

If you are a likely qualifier, you should receive a mailing containing the settlement agreement. I assume these are sent out based on MCI's records. I received the mailing yesterday.

haygood2:

You have to go to the linked website and file for the lawsuit. You can't just 'access' the database but if you put in your number, it will tell you whether it is or is not in the database.
