74GB Raptor Raid 0 performance?

I currently have a single 74GB Raptor and was wondering if it would be worth it to grab another and put them in Raid 0, especially since Buy.com has such a good prive on them. Does anyone has experience with them, especially versus a single 74GB drive. Or would it be more worthwhile to get a pair of 36GB drives now that they have fluid bearings and put them in Raid 0? I do a lot of disk heavy work like MPEG editing, uncompressed photo editing, etc.

So my options:

2 x 36GB Raptors: $230.00 Shipped (ZZF) - $175.00 for current Raptor - $55 Investment

1 x 74GB Raptor: $184.99 Shipped (Buy.com) - $175 Investment

Which will provide the best performance? I'm not really going to care too much about cost here, I mean I figure once you go Raptor cost isn't a factor anyway or you would never have gone Raptor in the first place!

According to Western Digital all of the new Raptors are supposed to have FDB.

I have no link, only I saw it on a post here, so I called Western Digital to confirm and they said all units made this year were infact FDB drives.

A pair of 36GB drives or 74GB drives? I can bearly hear my 74GB Raptor and 160GB Hitachi I have running right now.
 
The 36GB FDB have been out for weeks, there's just no way to know if you are getting one at this point.
 
Hey Jdogg,
I have the exact same setup. I didn't mean for it to sound like I had a nuclear war going on in my computer but I didn't want anyone to think they were silent either....
 
Think it was PCMark that gave me 2689 as a HDD score....how does this compare to what other people got for their HDD setup?

And I know that everyone in here can probably shoot me down with better, but in case you were wondering that's CPU-7062, Memory-6933, HDD-2689.
