74GB Raptor - $200 after $40 MIR

I bought one. Good price considering this drive is about 4 months old, and started at $300. Not to mention it's the fastest non-scsi drive out there.

I just got 2 of these. I was just about to get them from newegg when i saw this deal. You can't beat 10% off and free shipping. The only question I have is that the rebate form asks for a UPC and this is OEM without a UPC that you can cut off.

Yikes, my confirmation email shows the coupon for 10% but doesn't take off the discount. My receipt that from the web site does show the discount. What is the buy.com phone number?

On one of the other hot deal sites, someone else said that it is the norm for the confirmation email not to show the discount from the coupons, so we'll see what happens.

Any ideas on the rebate as far as these are most likely oem drives without a upc that can be sent in?

This is EXACTLY why I never buy from Buy.com anymore. Good luck actually talking to a CSR and then good luck in getting them to actually help you if you do.

I tried earlier today and the 10% coupon is declined once I log in. It doesn't say anything about new customers but there's probably some fine-print requirement screwing things up.

I just received my raptors. They came in brown OEM boxes with no UPC. There are barcodes for serial#, part# and sku# but no UPC.. I emailed Customer support. we'll see

oh man... this aint bad at all. I'm going to wait a few more months and buy it for $150!

I bought my 36 Raptor in Aug/03 for $151 Shipped from Newegg,7 months later its $121 Shipped $30 in 7 months, prices dont drop on Raptor HDs like they do on video, cpu etc, this drive is worth every penny of the $235 I paid it blows away the 36 Raptor I had ,boots to XP faster than I have ever seen. If your like me waiting for the next line of Cpus to upgrade then this drive is your answer for a lighting fast PC.

Oh well, no response from buy.com customer service email. Very nice drive though. So i cant part with it now.
