7300GT with DDR3 a thing of the past?

The Leadtek 7300GT with 128MB DDR3 has been available from Tiger and Newegg. Neither store is carrying it any more. It still shows on Leadtek's web site. I'm wondering if Nvidia is pressuring the removal of the card by manufacturers because it will run with 7600GS cards and not too far below 7600GT's. I was going to pick up a second card and SLI it but that may have to change unless I can pick up a good used one. I emailed Newegg and they responded thay no longer sell this superb(their word) card.

Quite a blast from the past. (Inflection in blast)

Don't go SLI with it unless you can get it for REALLY cheap.

Cheers.

Actually like the OP said a few versions (maybe just one) of the 7300gt were made with ddr3 and performed amazingly for their price. Ive been looking for them to but cant seem to find them anymore.

Its kind of like how the 7900gto went up in price as soon as distributers realized how good of a deal it was initially.

Europe and Asia have available versions of the 7300GT DDR3 with 256MB of memory but none of these were ever sold in the states. Really strange since the US is such a large marketplace. Could have something to do with Nvidia.

You can also order them from NCIX (including ASUS 256MB GDDR3 ones).

If you do a search of Newegss web site you won't currently find that card. I emailed them and they informed me they no longer carry it. Same thing with Tiger.

DDR3 would mean about GDDR4 in graphic memory terms.
