I'm thinking of getting a laptop, and about the only one i could afford would have either of these two cards.

Which would you prefer? I play a lot of games (this laptop will be used to play certain games, such as WoW and CoH/CoV, Oblivion).

What would be your reccommendations? Obviously, I would ideally get something like a 7900 GTX, but that's a tad expensive.

How would you rate the performance of the 7300 Go vs the ATI mobility Xpress 200?

Good luck playing Oblivion on the range of video cards you're looking at.

I don't think we can go by this. The ATI mobility 9700 is actually just a 9600. And no telling what point in time those ratings were given and what other mobile GPU's it was compared to. 7300Go ratings are current and compared to other current models. So difficult to use that chart with something so old against something brand new. Standards change as time goes by. 7300Go seems to be the way to go. At least out of these choices.

The advantage that chart has is just comparing specs.

But the Go 7300 is the way to go. Both are simply four pixel pipeline GPU's, but the 7300 has a few extra processing units, the more advanced 7-series architecture, and is built on 90nm. I think the MR 9600 was 130nm, LOL.

Go 7300 all the way!

I have a dell with a mobility Radeon x1300 and it plays BF2 on low settings pretty well. I couldn't find much information anywhere on the mobility Radeon x1300.
