Man, I should be able to help you, since I think most good music was made during 15 years 1966-1980... hard to just name bands though, lots mentioned here.

You should be able to do a search. Can't believe the Eagles/Joe Walsh aren't listed.

Hall & Oates, one of the biggest bands of all The Who. Jefferson Airplane/Starship.
