Hey all-

With the system in my sig, I get just over 7000 3DMarks (between 7000 and 7050). Is that about average? I'm looking at 3DMark's website and it says a PIII 1Ghz gets just OVER 7000 and mine is a 1.1Ghz.

Does anyone have a similar system to this. and what are you getting in 3DMark?

Thanks for any assistance!

sounds 'bout normal to me. Uping your video core and memory to the MAX could help a little as well as memory speeds. Just keep it stable

I get 8200. GTS is clocked to 220/395 and runs like a champ

Hmm.. maybe it is because at 133Mhz I can only run my RAM at CAS3... would that make a conciderable difference in 3DMark.. or on tha tnote in anything?

Thanks!

hmmm...don't know. Its been stated that the difference between CAS222 and 333 is about 3-4%. Do some searches on 3dmark2000 in these forums for the most detailed answers.

My specs really just show what my religous quest for the fastest gaming rig on the block produced. But then again that was 4 months ago. :(
I really used 3dmark2000 and SiSoft Sandra to squeeze every ounce of performance out of my machine. 2 full weeks of memory, cache, video card and stability testing/tweaking. Keep tryin!!!!!

BX chipset severely overclocked
Intel PIII
GTS clocked to the hilt
Memory at 145 CAS2

I can only get 2457 points! Now I'm jealous.

P3 800 @ 900
256 MB Micron 133 RAM
CUSL2
ASUS V3800 TNT2 Ultra 32MB

Guess I should get the geforce.....

I was just looking through 3DMark results at madonion.com and I see that many people with slightly slower CPU's than mine and the same video cards are getting up in the high 8000's of 3DMarks...

I'll fool with RAM settings I guess... I should DEFINETLY be getting the mid 8000's or higher with my rig from what I've seen... something is wrong.

PS: Just cranked up the core on my GF2 to 220, but that only gave me another 170pts...

Nothings wrong, youre just not done building/tweaking up your machine. :)

Keep playin and fiddlin and learnin

Memory speed on a GTS is everything core is not such a big deal. 400+ is the holy grail if you can atain it without tearing or other artifacts. Also bios settings for AGP aperature size and speed 1x, 2x, etc can affect.

Like I said, search these forums on 3dmark and you'll be presented with a wealth of information.

cheers!

What about AGP Fastwrites and Sidebanding? Do those affect 3DMark scores and real world performance any?

Thanks.

DirectX7.0a. 3DMark2000 8150.

GTS at 210/400.

Some video artifacts (system memory?)

CPU at 42c at full load with 28c case temp.

Try a different video driver? Try a new 4-in-1 driver?

Rudee:
What tweaks you talking about

I am running the Reference 6.47 drivers... with 4.25 (i think that's the number)... VIA Drivers.
