Ok. It's been a while since I've been on AT and last I knew codes weren't allowed 🙂

That's why we always recommend the reading thing. 🙂

restaurant.com used to rock but slowly but surely all the restaurants in my area have stopped doing it. Anyone else notice that trend?

the one that i use to frequent stopped offering it. there are also a bunch of limitations on how/when you can use the gift cards~
either way - $25 for $3 isn't too bad if you find a decent place!

But yeah...I hate how over the last year...they've put 'minimum' bill values...like 35 for 25$ certs...wasnt that way when they started out....and also only dine-in, only dinner, min. 2 people etc....

although you still save a good deal....

All the GOOD restaurants quit using them. We had one good one that dropped after a month.

Now there are a bunch of mom and pop places that don't have any business for a reason.

It's funny but we actually have a really good sushi place that just got added around here. Best part is that they have $25-50-75-100 coupons. I think to use the $100 you have to spend $225 on the total bill and they add 18%, but it's a good deal when you have a 6 hungry people in the mood for sushi.

Some of the mom and pop places I've gone to in the past weren't cheap, but the food was still good. Just because a place isn't corporate doesn't mean it isn't good food. I like grabbing one of these coupons when I'm travelling on vacation...it adds a little excitement to the trip and saves some cash when you are eating out 3 meals a day anyhow. I wasn't let down the last time. I ended up wish some awesome Thai food and some really good pizza at another place.
