I have the 60GB Vertex version of this OCZ drive, and I'd have to say, don't get the 30GB. I installed Windows 7 with all the bells and whistles, and Microsoft Office Professional 2007 with all the bells and whistles, plus all the motherboard drivers and McAfee anti-virus and it all used up 20GB of space (I haven't installed my games yet). Getting the 30GB will leave you with 10GB or less for whatever else you need.
By the way, I picked up the Fry's Kingston 64GB SSDNow V Series Drive second-generation SATA2 2.5 SNV425-S2BN/64GB Notebook Bundle for $144.99 - $30 rebate, and a $3.99 2.5" to 3.5" adapter and installed it in my second system. This is the only piece of equipment that is different between the two systems I built (besides the cases), and I have to say, the system with the Kingston boots into Windows 7 faster. The systems were side-by-side and pressing the power button as close to simultanious as possible, the Kingston was in windows 7 and ready a good 5 seconds faster. I have not had time to run any real benchmarks yet, so this is my opinion only, your mileage may vary.
