7 with a line in the middle of it

I put a horizontal line through my 7's, since it's easier to differentiate them between 1s. However, I also do this with Z's, but that's probably because my hand motion for writing a Z is quite similar to writing a 7.

When I was in the military we use to do this for keypunch sheets. Use to put a line on the bottom of a 1 also.

Lately I dont write much everything is done on a computer.

you need a choice for sometimes. if im writing a report i generally dont, but i im handwriting codes ill do it, as well as slash my S, Z and 0. it makes it much easier for others to read correctly.

Why yes, yes I do. There was a time when I'd slash my zeros as well, but I knocked it off and now only do it if I'm writing out an alphanumeric string to avoid confusion with Os.

No, but my 7's do have a little vertical hanging line at the left edge of the top horizontal line. Make writing the number 3 continuous strokes.

I also slash thorough my zeros, but usually only if text is mixed with numbers such as in physics or writing code on paper.

No. I use a small vertical line that hangs from the front of the seven. I prefer this method since it can be completed in one pencil stroke instead of two.

Only when I'm worried they will get it wrong. Not normally. I think it's a European thing. Sometimes I cross my Z's too. But I always dot my i's.
