$7 MSI X1550 at Newegg

Always keep a cheap and simple graphics card around to isolate if your troubleshooting video problems. This would do nicely.

Awesome, been looking for a replacement card for my HTPC to replace the crappy PCI FX5200 I have in it.

Just ordered one. Thanks OP!

Heads up... If you search for "x1550" it will bring up the 256mb onboard version, which is only two bucks more than the 128mb version and the rebate is good for it as well.

The 2600pro is a good deal right? and with hdmi...

I love my silent version of the MSI 2600Pro. Got it for $61.57 shipped after $20 MIR, and it comes with a free copy of The Witcher PC Game. The card has H.264 assist, UVD support, a HDMI adapter, 5.1 Audio over HDMI support (it has an HD Audio codec built into the core I guess), and HDCP.

I wanted a good, silent card for a HTPC and I was going to buy The Witcher anyway; it was a win win situation for me.

dude, plus this $9 card, I have 3 vdo card from MSI. the other ones are the Silent 8600GT, which is quite big (due to the massive heatsink) and probably won't fit in a HTPC, it works alright up to 1024x768, even play Crysis alright. Then I got the 9600GT, which came with Witcher. Good deals on all 3 cards. Thank you MSI
