it's hot as hell today in So Cal, canned beverages don't cut it, big cups aren't any better because the ice melts and the drink becomes watered down and not even that cold very quickly.

The X-Treme Gulp cup is science at its best, it keeps my beverage cold for hours and the ice takes a long time to start melting. Aside from being ginormous and a pain to lug around these cups are great. Not too expensive too with the first fill up being free. it's like 85 in my room, and my soda still has Ice in it and I've had the drink for FOUR hours, amazing!

Pics? We don't have any 7-11's in my state, or if we do they are new since all of the old ones were bought out by Tesoro.

I reckon it holds something like 64oz. I had one that big a long time ago from Circle K. He's right that they do a great job insulating your beverage. I used to set it on the engine housing of my forklift. It was so heavy that it wouldnt fall off while I was cornering and kept it nice and cold despite the heat radiating up off the engine.

Also it makes a great beer mug at keggers. You have to spend 5 minutes filling it up but then you wont have to return to the keg for quite a while. ;)

Only 52 ounces, I say only because a Double Gulp holds 64oz's. But Double Gulps are in a regular cup, this one's made from some space age plastic, it doesn't sweat and it can keep a drink very cold for like 6-8 hours. The fact it's 85 in my room and my glass still has ice from a fill up almost 4 hours ago wow's me. The ice is starting to melt, but in a regular big gulp cup in my room the ice is totally gone after about 45 minutes. Most AM/PM, Circle K type stores have these same type of cups. You can even get them at Targets & Walmarts, but at Target they're like 8 bucks with no free soda. I got the cup for $4.99 with my first drink free.

They also keep beverages hot, I guess for the Coffee people 52OZ's of Coffee that would stay hot for probably 3-4 hours would be a huge plus. Not sure about how long it keeps stuff hot, but as Cerpin Taxt said, the insulation is great so I would imagine for Coffee it would be good too :)

Way to ruin the magic and mystery jackass.

His post has me wondering now, I mean I've always wondered but now I need to know for sure. I will dig up my digital camera and dismantle one and put up a web page for all to see my findings. I think it's more than simply Styrofoam because in a Stryofoam cup I can't get ice to stay ice for this long. I still insist it's either space age material or magic!

of course Styrofoam as opposed to some super rare, super expensive material would explain how the cup only costs $5 bucks and not $50 or something hehe.

Maybe it will be Essence of Baby Jebus or something powerful.

I got one of those a few years ago when the Hulk movie came out; that exact giant mug with the Hulk on the side all roided out. It's a great mug; holds 4 beers and keeps them cold for the 12 minutes it takes to drink them.

depends on where you re-fill, typical is .99 cents, factor in the ice I'm probably getting around 44 ounces of soda. I have tried beer in it too, I don't like ice in my beer but it kept my Mickies cold for quite a bit longer than straight out the 40 bottle would without ice. And drinking beer through a straw = the buzz :)

There appear to be no 7-11's at all in GA, so I guess I may be waiting awhile to get one :(
