6x CD Drive, causing my BF1942 to stutter?

[Confused]

I only have an external USB cd drive on my computer, and therefore it's only 6x max. I think that the reason my BF1942 is taking forever to load, and also stuttering in games is because it cannot read off the CD quick enough?

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get this to run without needing the CD, as all i want to do is play the game without it loading so slowly and without stops every time it hits the CD drive

AFAIK, BF1942 only uses the CD on startup, for verification. Since you own the game, I'd say crack it....YGPM in a minute.

This is assuming you do the full install. If there is an option for a smaller install you're in trouble..
