isn't it kind of cheap to recruit members just for the race? ae you guys REALLY that scared, we don't even have bandai for the first 1-3 weeks 🙁 hahahaha, just playing, lets try to have a good time with this race, no matter who wins
 
It's not cheap. We're not asking people to join just for the race, it's just a good reason for people to join. We have a lot of people that joined up in the last race who are still active both in terms of production and around the forums. It just seems to be that people are more interested in joining when there's something on the line.

Good point - AND its actually exciting. If people join and have fun they are likely to stay.. If they join in a fairly quiet period when theres not much happening, if they dont find it fun, worthwhile etc then there is less incentive for them to keep up an active role in both churning out WUs and being an active member of the forums. There are many advantages to having people join during a race.
 
Seems like a good idea to post the thread in all the forums myself. A lot of people don't check in here.
 
Hey guys, I'm out of town until Friday (maybe tomorrow night, but I doubt it), so keep the recruiting and threads alive and kicking until I get back 😀

Oh, and since I'm letting down on the job, I assimilated a Dual PIII 933 today and will assimilate a TBird 1.2 GHz when I get back (the 1.2 was being set up and tested today...should be ready when I get back)...🙂

Oh, the Dual rig may not be mine for keeps, but I can sure break it in! :Q
