686B Data Corruption

This is a problem which has plagued me with my ABIT-KT7A motherboard with my Creative Soundblaster 5.1 Platinum.

I have tried everything... putting the card in different PCI slots, installing the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers, installing the latest SB Live! drivers, and installing third party latency patches.

Is there anything else I can do to get my sound card working, or it is time to throw the card in the bin?

Data corruption is something I got sick of...I had the Asus A7V133 and the SBLive! Platinum 5.1. I put the Platinum in my P4T that I'm running now, put a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz in the A7V133 and all is well now. The TB SC is an awesome card for the price. $65 at Newegg.com right now. OEM, but it looks like everything you'd get in the retail. (Friend bought retail and the only difference I see is a sheet saying to buy some Audiotron equipment and a plastic tray with a cardboard box. 🙂)
