Is 4GB ovekill with the 680i mobo? It is rated for 8GB, but I was wondering if 4GB with an E6600 is just a waste of money.
 
This would be for Vista Home Premium and I would be doing heavy multitasking along with some gameplay and internet.

For Vista it wouldn't be a bad idea getting that much ram. 8GB is overkill though for your use.
