My friend is looking to buy an XFX PVT42KUDE3 GeForce 6800XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 8X Video Card. The system requirements are saying he needs psu greater than 500w which he doesnt have. Is that a mistake that this card takes 500w? my 7950gt 512mb only needs a min of 400 watts...
 
I just installed that exact same card on my son's system. It has an Enlight 420W PSU, rated 18A on the 12V rail. I think it should work fine with a good quality 350W or 400W PSU.
