You can probably overclock its core ridiculously, probably to well past ultra levels with lower piipeline count. But the 128 mb memory will kill it. Nvidia claims a "nice" performance improvement over the 5950, which, especially in DX9 games, isn't saying much.

That is AMAZING! Nvidia stole ATi's 9800 Pro core and slapped it in their card and added PS 3.0 support? AMAZING!

Seriously, WTF?

6800NU fill rate: 12 * 325 = 3.9G
9800 XT fill rate: 8 * 412 = 3.296G
9800 Pro fill rate: 8 * 380 = 3.04G

Add to this the 6800's overall better per clock per pipe performance, SM 3.0, and ultrashadow II, not to mention OpenGL, and it's rather clearly superior. As well as ~$100 more expensive.

In my mind the X800XT and the 6800 Ultrawoudl be direct competition and the x800Pro woud be more direct competition for the 6800GT, I guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out once all the cards actually hit the shores of US.

System requirements:

A minimum 350W system power supply, but 480W is highly recommanded.
An AGP compliant motherboard. Some motherboards violate the AGP specification and therefore this card may not physically fit in some systems.
Two hard disk drive power dongles off of separate power supply cable bundles (smaller floppy disk drive connector is not sufficient).

:D Looks like they still haven't settled the requirements.

I for one never buy video cards at that outragious price 499.00 plus tax probobly comes to 520 $ They are totally ripping you off, they pop these things out of a machine at less than 2 minutes. Wait till it comes down in price, screw them.
