i just stumbled onto this today while looking for tweaks for my new 6800NU.

http://www.digit-life.com/news.html?107374#107374

i really wanna try this but the last review i read said that NU to GT can be done, but the card may have artifacts and u cannot revert back...??? the screenshot clearly shows u can pick which setting so my question is...has anyone successfully tried this yet?

finally, i must say, in low level system tweaks, i cannot find the NVstrap driver tab for the 16 pipeline enabling feature.

Generally, this won't do anything for performance for you, if you do pull it off, you might see a couple FPS on a good day i'm betting...

The power in the GT over the NU isn't just the pipes, its the memory amount, memory speed, memory bus speed, DD3 as opposed to DDR, and the clock speed difference on the ram and cpu.. You will never be able to close the gap between the GT and the NU IMHO...

I'm glad i returned my NU and spent the cash on the GT, its way faster.

im not tryin to close any gap...just trying to get the most performance outta my card as i can. 4 extra pipes is nothing to gawk at, and if it can be done, im betting my 3dmark03 scores will jump from my current 91XX to over 10K.

So you want to risk your expensive card for the sake of 3Dmark03? What are you thinking?

im not risking anything, threads in other places show that its perfectly reversable cuz its not a bios change. thx but for some reason, when i searched, nothing came up. its a future release i found out, ill wait till then.
