6800nu & ATI Tool Artifact Scanning

I've brought the core speed from 325 to 395 with no visual artifacts but the core temp climbs pretty high. I'm using stock cooling, where would be a good place to stop (Temp Wise)

well 80 degrees is ok, but many will agree that 80+ is a bit too high.

grab your self a VF700 and some AS5. that combo dropped my temps on my 6800gt nearly 20 degrees!

i cant comment on how long you should leave the artifact tester though

I usually let ATI Tool go for 20 minutes before I'm comfortable with gaming for 8+ hours at that level. I usually let it go for 5-10 minutes if I'm in the process of raising the clocks bit by bit. Then when i see artifacts I back it off 5-10MHz and retest for 20 minutes.

It's really up to you how long you let it run for. Most people agree that 8+ hours of Prime95 on the cpu is sufficient to test stability. I haven't seen any established time period for ocing the gpu though.
