Is this somewhere between the 6600GT and 6800nu? I've noticed its about 250 on newegg and im wondering what the deal is with this card? Does it have 16 pipes and can it be unlocked/OCed?

It's a crippled version of the 6800nu. It only has 8 pipes and 4 Vertex Shaders, both of which can be unlocked using Riva Tuner, though the chances of getting a fully functional 16x6 is very rare on an LE.

It would probably fall a little below the 6600GT in performance.

Are those EVGA ones (didn't they have the Ultra PCB?) anywhere to be had anymore?

basically

6800nu = 325core and 700mem 12pipes and 5 vertex
6800LE = 300 core and 700mem 8pipes and 4 vertex

6600gt = 500 core 1000mem and 8pipes with only 3 vertex

The evga ones where ULTRAS, ultra core, ultra mem, evga actully covered up everything on the box that said ULTRA with LE STICKERS, I say if you got a evga le you are one lucky guy, all the other LE cards suck.

Actually the eVGA did not have "LE" anywhere on the box, it was "Limited Edition" . No where on the box is it abreviated or just say "LE". In fact there are several places where it actually says "6800 Ultra" that are not covered up by the "6800 Limited Edition" stickers:)

I got one and flashed it to an Ultra bios @400/1100 and it has no problem doing 425/1200. Definately one of the video card deals of the decade.
