6800GT problem...

my 6800gt just started to recently show some minor artifiacting... and I checked the clock speeds, which are set to default... and they read 396mz/1080mhz... default should be and used to be 370/1000... I tried uninstalling all drivers and used driver cleaning utilites but when I reinstall the drivers it still reads the card as 396/1080...

what should i do.. as I don't want it overclocked , especially if there is minor artifacting

also I tried to set it manually but it won't stay when I restart.

Default for the 6800gt is 350/1000. Ultra model speed is 400/1100 which is very close to what yours is set to.

downclock it using Coolbits or RivaTuner.

I have the BFG OC one so it 370mhz...

I know thats a temporary fix, but I kinda want to find out the real problem
