6800GT Or X800XT

ok ok, i know this has probably been posted a bizillion times and all, but should i get the bfg 6800gt for around 410, or x800xt for 460??? The 6800GT has the ps3, which the x800xt doesnt. Will that even be incorrperated into games at all? Ill mainly be playing World of Warcraft and Hl2/CS:S.

thanks

yea ive been looking at the reviews and x800xt has gotten about 10-15 more fps then the gt. But what about down the road, ps3.0 wouldnt that kill the x800xt performance?

also is this the last batch of agp cards??

By the time ps 3.0 is a big deal, you're going to be updating your card anyhow. Right now it is a feature that isn't adopted widely enough to worry about.

Features are only important if they are used.

PS3.0 will help, but it looks like it's only for a speed improvement. For the money i'd get the GT, but if $$$ is no issue, then by all means go for the XT.

I'm still trying to decide between a BFG 6800oc for $250 and a X800pro for $330...

You can actually get a GT from a reputable online vendor for $390. XTs are $475 and up.

The PS3.0 argument is moot; I don't see any real benefit in todays games. But pricewise, the 6800 GT is a better deal.

get whichever one suits your budget - you won't be disappointed in either. it's more personal preferences or band bias when ppl say x is better than z this gen. for me, i prefer the nv drivers, but like the compact design of the ati. performancewise the point is mostly moot unless you derive you computing happiness because one card runs a few fps faster in this game or that.... iq and playability the differences are too minor to notice - the one slight exception is doom3 which favor nv40, however perhaps newer drivers have closed the gap a bit; i haven't run my doom3 on x800 since 4.10b cats.

i'm happy with my GT, but i would have no problem if i had to run an x800 instead. my main deciding factor would be price and availability.
