Hmmm.....it works for me when I click on it...very odd.

If you just search from their homesite, it'll come up as in stock in their database. I'll try to see what's wrong with this link....stupid link.

It works.
I see it says delivery only. I can add it to cart also.
I'm not going to order, because the $28 tax gayness.
Too bad they didn't have it instock during the tax free weekend...

This item is not an item that is tax free in North Carolina's tax free weekend. (Aug 6-8)
this link works

Hey, most places that have them in stock are inflating the price by $50 or more (+ shipping!). So retail, with $0.01 shipping actually is hot. =)

just ordered one, good ol' tax free NH so it came to $400 even. I was hoping to hold out for a bfg, but with Doom3 about to hit store shelves I didn't feel like waiting anymore, and that's good news for all you guys waiting, because now there's sure to be lots of BFG cards in stock the next couple days... ;)
oh well, I can OC the card myself if i feel it needs an extra boost, I hear it's not too tricky to do so.
now hopefully I got in early enough to get one of the few they have.

The 10% off code doesn't work on SKUs 313032, 313030, 313398, 314102.

314102 = Verto GeForce 6800 GT Video Card, 8x AGP, 256MB DDR3

Crap.

Like everyone else, I think it's just a temporary price spike caused by lack of supply combined with lots of Doom3 hype. Should be short term at best.

Also, COMPUSA sucks... 15% restocking fee, even if incompatible. Crappy policies. I try to avoid them if at all possible.

Maybe you should learn what you're buying first then. Or come to good ol' Anandtech eh?

The policies are in place because people take advantage of the company so much dude, besides it should be a case by case basis on the restock fee, I waive it all the time!

i went to fry's the other day, they didn't have any bfg's in stock but there were plenty of other brands. i don't think these cards are necessarily on a very high demand, except perhaps large metropolitan areas where gaming is very common. it just seems like people are scavenging for a deal to save them five bucks online, when they could drive to Fry's (unless you don't have one) and pick one or two up.

I went to all the local stores BB, circuit city , compusa and Fry's and none of them had in stock on Saturday. They all said sometime next week.

lucky me I had one on order from www.gameve.com and Fedex delivered one today :)
