6800GT Heat Problems

Hi,

I've recently started getting a few issues with my Gainward 6800GT ( http://www.3dnews.ru/documents/8413/6800GT-Gainward-front-big.jpg ) notably STALKER & Virtua Tennis 3 pushing it over 100 degrees.

I did have a problem with one of the fans before which was fixed by Gainward, but have a feeling the fix is starting to wear off. What cost-effective method can I use to quickly fix this card?

Would something like these 2 help me?

Thanks in advance for any help!

i have a leadtek 6800gt. Its a hot running card. I use a vf-900. it works well. if i remember correctly, it keeps my card at ~65 load on bf2 at max settings.

I use an Arctic Cooling Silencer NV5R3 on my 6800GS and it keeps it at 50C load (I have a lot of fans in my case providing air to the Silencer). However, the fan on my Silencer sometimes screws up and makes a ruckus which is why I'm about to toss it out and maybe get a new cooler (VF700 would do nicely mmkoi...).

Or perhaps the fan/HS fins are starting to fill up with dust?...again.

Or not because it's clear of dust, and to say again implies it was dusty before when infact there was a split through the middle of the fan.

keep your bullshit to yourself.
