6800GT + 65.73s + Fary Cry v1.0 = Really bright textures

Just installed my 6800GT... Doom 3 looks great.

Tried Far Cry. Very High settings, no AA, 1280x1024. The opening chapter has very bright or washed out textures. For example, when you first exit the cave/sewer to see the island for the very 1st time, the little hut on the dock where one of the dudes is fishing looks white, with no visible texture to it.

Could this be a driver issue? Setting? Do I need to patch Far Cry?

Thanks.

Oh,

P4 2.8 @ 3.2, 1GB OCZ GOld Rev. 2, TBSC, IC7MAX3.

Patch Far Cry to 1.1. Also there is a brightness setting in the game AFAIK so try changing that if you still have issues after patching.

The patch is all you should need. I had the same issue on a 6800nu, and after patching to 1.1, it was fixed.

Sweet, thanks.

I had already played with the brightness, but didn't solve the problem since only some of the textures had this "whiteout" effect. I'll patch the game when I get home ands see if that helps.
